Agritek Holdings Inc (OTCMKTS:AGTK) has announced that it has been featured on the cover of the December issue, of CannaInvestor Magazine. The publication has also claimed that the company is one to watch, in the near future. This was highlighted in a 10-page article, about the company, published in the magazine. The coverage focuses on Agritek’s strategy, business model and its performance and expectations for the FY2016.
Michael Friedman, the CEO of AGTK, expressed his pleasure at being approached for the article and also pointed out that they were amongst a handful companies, from the cannabis sector, to have such an honor. He was of the view that, given the popularity of the magazine, the coverage is sure attract investors towards Agritek, as they work to achieve their goals for the FY2017. Mr. Friedman also pointed out that the featured article comes at a pivotal time, in the cannabis industry, as a number of states recently voted in favor of marijuana legalization and the New York Stock Exchange, has for the first time, listed a cannabis company, ‘Innovative Industrial Properties’.
The press release from the company also highlighted that it has not yet received the status of a fully reporting company, on the OTC. This is mainly due to the fact that AGTK is yet to submit its financial reports for the 3Q2016 and 2Q2016, both of which are being reviewed by the company’s auditor. The CEO also hinted at the possibility of applying for an up-listing to a national exchange, once compliance has been achieved.
Another cannabis stock, making the news, for the rapid development of its business is New Age Farm Inc (OTCMKTS:NWGFF). The company recently completed its second greenhouse production facility, in Oroville, Washington. The facility is spread over an area of 5,600 sq ft and is capable of handling the trimming, curing, growing and storage operations. It is expected that the master growers, of NWGFF, would have the first harvest ready, by early March, 2017. It should be noted here that New Age Farms has a tier 3 growing license, for the state, which allows it to grow up to 30,000 sq ft of plant canopy.
