iAnthus Capital Holdings Inc (OTCMKTS:ITHUF) announced on Thursday that it has secured a licensing agreement with Blissiva, a women-focused brand that distributes medical cannabis products.
iAnthus signed the licensing agreement through its U.S subsidiary and the deal will allow the company to make, market and distribute various Blissiva products. iAnthus plans to roll out the products in its Maryland on April 20. Maryland is ideal because it also happens to be the home state for the women-oriented cannabis brand. iAnthus also plans to make the Blissiva products in ten other states in the U.S.
“We are extremely proud to partner with Blissiva in launching female-focused cannabis products into the market. Women represent one of the largest and fastest growing demographics of consumers in this industry,” stated iAnthus medical director and co-founder Beth Stavola.
The cannabis products will target the female demography
The medical director also noted that the markets lack products that are designed to address the wellness and health needs of women. She also expressed excitement for having the chance to work hand in hand with Dr. Apgar, a renowned women’s health expert.
The initial product launch will feature the Blissiva Balance Pen which will be rolled out in Baltimore and White Marsh’s Health for Life dispensaries. The product will also be available at the Greenhouse Wellness dispensary located in Ellicott City, Maryland. Blissiva’s medical director Dr. Apgar described iAnthus as the ideal partner that will help her company to reach female consumers who stand to benefit from their products.
iAnthus is strategically positioned thanks to its distribution network
iAnthus will take advantage of its robust distribution network to make sure that the Blissiva products are accessible to women throughout Maryland. The company’s distribution network in the state currently boasts of 45 dispensaries through which iAnthus sells MPX branded products.
iAnthus owns and runs one of the best facilities for cannabis cultivation and processing in the U.S. It is, therefore, able to generate significant value for its investors by diversifying its exposure in the U.S market. The company currently has its operations in 11 states and a total of 21 dispensaries.
